Checking for debris in sensor

Over time, small debris such as leaves, sticks and algae may become caught inside the sensor. If this occurs, the sensor may not detect changes to the water level.

Steps

  1. Lift the end cap from the balance line and carefully remove the sensor from the pipe.
  2. Carefully remove the screws from the underside of the sensor and set aside.
  3. Remove the plastic cover and ball float. Set aside.
  4. Observe for debris inside the sensor.
  5. Remove any foreign objects with a soft brush or finger.
  6. Clean out any built-up scum or algae.
  7. Replace the ball float and cover. Fasten in place with screws.

After completing the above steps, lower the sensor back into the balance line and reattach the end cap to the balance line pipe.
