Fault 3 — VALVE

Description

When Fault 3 occurs, it is either due to the control box detecting an incorrect configuration for the solenoid valve or that the cable has come loose while the Water Witch is filling the tank or pool.

Causes

1. Incorrect parameters

The output voltage does not suit the requirements of the solenoid valve. This most often occurs during installation due to incorrect configuration.

This will occur if you’ve opted to use a third-party solenoid rather than the one provided with the Water Witch.

See Configuring solenoid voltage settings.

2. Loose or damaged cable

If the solenoid actuates properly but you are experiencing an intermittent Fault 3 during operation, it could be due to the cable coming loose.

See Checking the cable.

3. Damaged solenoid

If after following the above steps the fault persists, please replace the solenoid.

See Replacing a solenoid.
