Water Level

The following water level issues will not raise a fault code as they are caused by site or hardware and are undetectable to the device.

Underfilling or not filling

1. Sensor is unplugged

If unplugged, the sensor will not be able to detect when the pool requires water.

The control box will not attempt to fill if the sensor is not detected to prevent overfilling.

See Testing Water Witch operation.

2. Incorrect sensor wiring

If the sensor has been connected to the control box incorrectly, or the cable has been incorrectly wired, the Water Witch will not operate as intended or at all.

Follow the installation guide Cable and plug.

3. Sensor position does not match intended water level

The sensor position in the balance line may not be correct.

If the sensor is set too low, then the pool will only fill up to the line on the sensor.

See Set sensor level.

4. Sensor is damaged

Test if the sensor is damaged by running a manual diagnosis.

See Testing Water Witch operation.

Overfilling

1. Sensor position does not match intended water level

The sensor position in the balance line may not be correct.

If the sensor is set too high, then the pool will fill past the intended height up to the line on the sensor.

See Set sensor level.

2. Wires in plug have been reattached incorrectly

This often occurs when the cable is run through conduit during installation.

Ensure that the wires are attached to the plug correctly. See Cable and plug.

3. Solenoid is damaged or faulty

If the water is not shutting off and your control box is reading SCAN, then the solenoid may need to be replaced.

See Replacing a solenoid.
